NSARDA Cantech is a
Search And Rescue Dog Unit
that trains air scenting dog units to a high standard of readiness to be called upon by Police, RAF, and other Search & Rescue Units, other Emergency Services, Local councils in Kent and the rest of the UK if called upon.- NSARDA Cantec is manned by volunteers 365 days a year.
- The unit has members in the East of the UK from Humberside to Kent.
- We work with several ALSAR units including:
- Kent Search and Rescue
- Yorkshire and Linconshire Search and Rescue
- Midshires Search and Rescue
- We Also have representation within the Liconshire Emergency planning unit.
For example in Kent alone an average 1,800 people go missing every year.
We aim to alleviate the suffering and distress, not only to the missing person but to their families, ad to reduce the pressures of manpower resources of the police and other emergency services.

Our search dog teams are trained to search for missing persons in particular: walkers, the elderly and confused persons, children and sometimes victims of crime in all cases persons that are vulnerable and in a life threatened situation.
As a voluntary organisation NSARDA Cantech provide their services completely free of charge. Members are entirely dedicated people that come from all walks of life, each committing a vast amount of their time to train, attend searches and go fundraising in order that the unit can continue to provide this extremely valuable service.
NSARDA Cantech rely entirely on public donations to be able to operate.
